The new sides are cut and up

Here’s a quick look at some progress on the replacement plywood freeboards. The underlying structure and repairs are all now almost complete apart from some final filling, sanding and priming.

I’ve began to cut various freeboard sections and place them ready for final adjustments and porthole measurements.

The sides will all be coming off for the fuel vent / portholes to be cut before finally being placed. Then when back in situ they’ll be covered in epoxy resin / fibreglass to make them more watertight for weather protection.

More to come!

Cheers
