Progress and excuses for a holiday

It’s been a couple of months since I’ve updated the site, but there’s been quite a lot of progress on Perdita that I’ll go into later.

It’s also meant we’ve had chance for a holiday. January is usually bloody grim in the UK, every bugger is as miserable as shit on a combination of post Christmas blues and general global instability, so it’s a good time to escape.

We decided to Airbnb on a Yacht for part of the holiday. Our chosen vessel a yacht ‘Pepe’ was roughly the same size as Perdita, a late 80’s Dufour Somo 31 moored in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.  Obviously being a yacht, slightly skinnier and configured differently.

It gave us a chance to see what spending a few days living on something that size was like. It was fun and we came away with loads of little ideas for Perdita.

Here’s a couple of little photos from the the boat, there’s even a video. In the next post I’ll go into what progress has been made on Perdita restoration since I’ve been back in freezing cold England!

Thanks for reading!
