Mid Nov update

Here’s a few updates from last Saturday’s work.

We’ve started fitting the new top rubbing strake from Wilks which looks a lot better than I thought it might!

The middle pvcu white strake is now cut and fitted on the starboard side end to end and now just needs some sealing and filling of gaps.

Next was to finish and fix the little forward hatch. It’s not finished but in a good state to keep rain water out now…

Next was putting the cabin top hatch back together:

We also also painted the interior in magnolia paint that smelled a lot like ice cream: (before after)

We did a lot of work to strengthen the stanchion (hand rail) bases all around the boat. A couple needed shifting slightly so there was some epoxy work to do. New stainless bolts and screws and loads of Sika flex. Crap picture:

The last job of the day was to put a quick coat of grey paint on the cockpit plywood floor, it’s looked rough for too long: (before / after)

I’ve also bought a new porthole rim for the berth door and it’s little window i’ll be making soon:

Thats it for now! Perdita will be heading out of the workshop and onto the hard standing for the winter like a real boat soon!

Thanks for looking!
